Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 November 2026
These terms explain how you may use GlooBoo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Who runs GlooBoo
GlooBoo is the service name for this travel-memory app. For questions about the service or these terms, email [email protected].
The service and your account
GlooBoo lets you save travel places, notes, ratings, dates and photos on a personal globe, and choose whether to share that globe. You need a Google account to sign in. Keep your Google account secure and make sure the details you give us are accurate.
We own or license the software and branding that make up GlooBoo. We give you permission to use the service for your personal travel records while you follow these terms. Free and Pro plans have usage limits and features shown in the app; those may change as the service develops.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for your use of GlooBoo and the content you upload or share. You must not use the website or service to:
- Carry out, promote or facilitate unlawful activity, including fraud, scams, phishing or the unlawful sale of goods or services.
- Threaten, harass, stalk or exploit anyone, incite violence or unlawful hatred, or upload child sexual abuse material or other unlawful sexual content.
- Impersonate someone, infringe intellectual-property rights, or disclose another person's private information, photos or exact location without a lawful right to do so.
- Upload malware, compromise security, access another person's account or private data without authorisation, or disrupt or overload the service.
- Use automated tools to harvest personal data unlawfully, bypass access controls, or evade usage limits, rate limits or account restrictions.
Your content
You keep ownership of the pins, writing, profile details and photos you add. You give us permission to store, resize, process and display that content as needed to run the service, including delivering uploaded photos through the public photo URLs described below and displaying your globe to visitors when you turn on sharing. This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies that remain temporarily in backups, caches, or with people who already viewed or saved it.
Only upload content you have the right to use. Please do not add private or sensitive information that you would not want exposed, especially an exact home address.
Private globes, sharing and photos
Your globe page is private by default. Photo files have separate public URLs, as explained below. If you turn on globe sharing, anyone with its unlisted link can view your display name, profile photo and bio, plus all pins, exact locations, notes, ratings, dates, categories and pin photos on that globe. The link is not a password; only share it with people you trust. We ask search engines not to index shared pages, but cannot guarantee they will not be discovered or copied. You can turn sharing off, but that cannot recall screenshots, copies, or information already seen by visitors.
Public photo URLs
Uploaded pin photos, their thumbnails and profile photos are stored at public web addresses (URLs). Anyone who obtains a photo URL can view, download, copy or share that image without signing in to GlooBoo, even when your globe page is private or sharing is turned off.
Turning off globe sharing or changing your globe's share link does not make photo URLs private or invalidate them. Photo URLs do not automatically expire. Browsers and our image CDN may retain cached copies for up to one year under our current cache settings, including after a photo is replaced or deleted. People may also keep copies they have already saved.
Only upload photos you have the right to make available in this way. Avoid uploading confidential or sensitive images that need restricted access. We remove embedded metadata such as GPS data when processing uploads, but the image itself may still reveal people, places or other personal information.
Pro subscriptions
If you buy Pro, the price and billing interval will be shown at checkout. The subscription renews automatically for the interval shown until you cancel it. Payments and subscription management are handled by Stripe. You can cancel through the billing portal in your account; Stripe will show when your access ends. Deleting your GlooBoo account cancels an active subscription as part of deletion. Any cancellation or refund rights provided by law still apply.
Availability and changes
We work to keep GlooBoo available and your content safe, but the service may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. Do not rely on GlooBoo as your only copy of important photos or records.
Content removal, suspension and permanent account removal
If we reasonably believe that you have breached these terms, used GlooBoo unlawfully, or created a risk to other people or the security of the service, we may remove relevant content, disable sharing, restrict features, suspend access, or permanently close and remove your account. We will consider the seriousness, impact and circumstances of the conduct. Serious or repeated misuse, fraud, exploitation or attempts to evade a valid restriction may result in permanent removal.
Where practicable, we will explain our decision and give you a reasonable opportunity to correct a minor breach. We may act immediately without advance notice where reasonably necessary to prevent harm, stop unlawful activity, protect the service or comply with the law. If you think a decision is mistaken, you can ask us to review it by emailing [email protected]. You must not create or use another account to evade a valid suspension or removal.
If we permanently close a paid account, we will arrange cancellation of future subscription renewals and handle any refund entitlement under applicable law. Restrictions or removal do not take away your statutory consumer or data-protection rights.
Safety, investigations and legal requests
We may preserve relevant records and disclose information we hold to the police, courts, regulators or other competent authorities when required by law, or where we have an appropriate lawful basis and disclosure is necessary and proportionate. This may include responding to a lawful request, reporting or investigating suspected crime or fraud, or protecting someone from serious harm. Information shared is limited to what is relevant and necessary for that purpose. Our Privacy Notice explains the information involved and the safeguards we apply.
Ending your use
You can delete your account from the account settings. Deletion removes your account and associated globe, pins, notes and uploaded images from the active service. Some payment records may remain with Stripe, and limited information may be retained where the law requires it or where it is needed to resolve a dispute or protect the service.
Permanent account removal ends your access to the service and may remove your access to its content. Any preservation of limited records for a lawful investigation, security incident or legal claim follows the purposes and retention safeguards described in our Privacy Notice.
Responsibility and consumer rights
To the extent the law allows, GlooBoo is provided without a promise that it will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be limited, including consumer rights that apply where you live.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the revised terms with a new update date, and ask for your agreement where the law requires it.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring a claim in the courts where you live, and mandatory consumer protections in your country continue to apply.
